Mission Trip 2014 is Almost Underway!!

     So, this is my first post related to the upcoming August mission trip.  And boy, do I have some exciting things to share with you all!

        First - location.  We will be traveling to Neon, KY.  Sound familiar to some of you?  Well, we've been here before, back in the 1990's.  We'll be working with an organization called H.O.M.E.S. = Housing Oriented Ministries Established for Service.  So exciting!

     Second - we are not alone!  No, no aliens here. But FBC Beverly has graciously invited FBC Gloucester to participate with them on this trip.  It's a joint venture that some of us like to call FBC Squared (Sorry, I don't know how to make the little 2 appear in the right spot.)  So 2 ladies from FBCG plus Dave and I will be going with the much larger Beverly group.  We hope to generate lots of excitement so that maybe we can do it again with a biiger Gloucester contingent.

        Fundraising has been underway for a while now and, as I write this post, there is a group downstairs in the Gloucester kitchen singing This Little Light of Mine while prepping for a ham and bean supper tomorrow night.  Live music, good food, great fellowship and all for a wonderful cause.
